We have been at the Riverside Hotel with our family often and the views are awesome. Staff very friendly, a happy place to stay on business or for a holiday.

It was a pleasant stay overall. I arrived at the reception and the lady addressed me by my name. I was very pleased.

The rooms, food, view and everything was way above average the staff were super friendly and accommodating many hotels in Durban should take a page out of their book. Everything was perfect.

Great Stay

Loved staying at the Riverside Hotel, what made them different to any other hotel was the hospitality. Love the front desk ladies when I checked in. My favorite has to be Breakfast in the mornings. So much warmth and welcome vibes.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for accommodating our JAM Team. Thank you your added effort and huge thanks to your team who assisted with the food.

The exquisite Riverside Hotel’s conference room In Durban was the venue for the VSA’s Champions Cup Technical Meeting, which inter alia, focused on drawing up the fixtures for the NF’s prestigious annual Inter Club Championship for women and men. The ambience of the venue set the stage for a ‘problem free’ engagement with the participating teams’ officials.

We hosted my dad's 60th birthday at the business centre. Mlungisi, Mayuri and their team were hands on from the go. The food was delicious and on point, everything was beyond expectations.
The staff are extremely friendly, accommodating and hands on. They always willing to assist in any way to make your stay comfortable and it seemed as if we knew them forever. She provided us with yummy meals to cater for our needs at the kitchen and not forgetting Thulani who checked us in and made sure we were comfortable. The rooms are very neat and tidy as well as spacious. You guys know the meaning of excellent customer service! We were so impressed with the service that we had to book in again at checkout for our Valentine's / Anniversary weekend and once again all great comments and recommendations! The Saturday prawn special was a winner! Well done to the team on your outstanding work and service. Riverside feels like home!

We enjoyed our stay it was our 14th anniversary, the staff made us feel special, service was excellent all round from entrance, waiters, bar tenders and cleaners, will recommend to our family and friends, thank you.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Riverside Hotel. During our stay, we met and were assisted by your Restaurant Manager, Mannie.

We were extremely satisfied with the service he provided us, from being a warm, welcoming presence the day we arrived, and helping us familiarise ourselves with the hotel amenities, to being absolutely accommodating and hands on in our daily meal requests.

He understood our concerns regarding halal food preparation and cross-contamination with non-halal food in the kitchen, answered all our queries and implemented our suggestions. He ensured that we were served personally by him and that all our needs and requirements were met.

His passion and enthusiasm for his job, as well as his pleasant demeanour, were noted and appreciated by us and definitely served to enhance our experience at the hotel.

We, therefore, wish to commend Mannie on his excellent service and would like to bring his customer relation skills to your notice.

We hope to see Mannie again in our future visits to your establishment.

I was lucky enough to get the booking as i was booked somewhere else but didn't like the place, fortunately i got another booking at Riverside and we really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place, i will not make this mistake again. Rooms excellent, food excellent, staff great and very professional.

The Hotel is a 4 Star Hotel, but my experience was of a 5 Star Hotel. The Staff went the extra mile at every opportunity and were exceptionally willing and able.
The beds were comfortable, the rooms well presented.
The food was excellent and provided a solid start and end to the day.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.
Location was also very central and convenient.

Just an enjoyable experience. Great vibe by the pool on friday evening with live music. Really good bar and friendly service (I did have to call for a waitress however it is nice not to have staff members hovering, so I think it is intentional and it was easy to be noticed). The rooms are neat, tidy and really clean. The location perfect between Durban City and Durban North, Umhlanga and Gateway Access is a quick 10min and the beach is close by.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Staff was friendly and assisted me. The dinner and breakfast was amazing.

The property was advertised on there site. The place was spacious comfortable and clean. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend the property and use it again if i am in the area.
